we normally get to a show (not showing) around 8 to 8.30am. Most people showing are there much earlier. There is normally stock available to buy outside the building entrance and around the parking lot.

Can also say it is the best concession stand I have been to so far......

We will be there so listen out for an Englishman in a Coke cap with a red-headed wife, so if/when you see me just say hello.....

TBird - I understand your frustration. It seems that there are only a few of us that are east and those that are get stuck with Smithfield.

Gavin- Where in the UK are you originally from (if I may ask)? My sister in law is in Putney (although moving to Middlesex soon)!! My family is in Holy Loch (Dunoon) area!!

Long night last night. I think the weather changing (what happened to spring? it's COLD here) caused the DD to come down with something. She had a hard night and has been sleeping much of the day (highly unusual for her)!!

I feel bad for her, but I am letting her sleep it off.

I do get to spend the day cooped up in my little sewing closet putting the finishing touches on her Easter Dress!! I took a break just long enough to check out what everyone is doing here!!

I hate this cold, wet weather...I can't paint the OSB board, can't work in the garden...and REALLY don't want to work on anything that involves water or cleaning!!

Smithfield works for me, but then, it's only 30 minutes from home and December gives me perhaps a few months to raise my yet to be born buff orps.

Greensboro wouldn't be bad, except that my son's opening little league game is that morning and heaven knows he can't miss baseball. However, if I said it is to look at some 'chicken peeps' I'm sure he won't mind. He's 5 and is as excited as a lark about getting our very own chicken peeps to raise. He's even helping me clear the old dog pen out to make room for a run and coop!

chickeninthemeadow. Your son would love going to a chciken show. I went to both the ones in Morganton and they were my first, just be prepared for mommy can we get it cause their will be alot of fowl for sale outside too. New, sorry to hear DS is sick,,,thats Dear Supervisor by the way. Hope she feels better real soon.
