Present grown birds- trio White Cochin- pair splash silkies - trio white EE's
A guy was to bring me trio of black Cochins last Sat didn't show

All I have is bantams- Still got some empty Coops

They are all in seperate coops 4'x4' with 4x8 run

Coop Update: It's still standing...that's about all I have for you!!

sometime soon I need to get a ladder so we can frame the roof this weekend!! We're hoping to put at least the roof up and if we get far enough <gasps> walls!! Found out why the DD was "sick" yesterday. Turns out she's FINALLY showing those teeth that she's been cutting.

Except it's only the tips...nothing's up...YET!! I really am tired of awaiting not to mention the pain it causes her...no fair!! I guess that's my signal that I would not be a good hatcher...patience is not a virtue I possess!!

Em- if you don't want an Emu, think they'd pose as a guard "dog" for us??

I am not a fan of dogs, so was thinking it would be neat to have a giant bird chasing people & critters away.

Can't wait to see pictures of these monsters. You do know Emu's are bigger than turkeys, right??

When they start to pip, send the whole kit with your DH when he goes to work...then they'd be guaranteed to see him first!!

Haha...No wonder you're confused, I am SO sorry!! Yes, my SIL is currently in Putney and just purchased a home in Middlesex, England; however, I live in Middlesex, NC (Johnston County, not Nash)!! Just for the record...we lived in Middlesex FIRST!!

It's crazy that things are named the same here as in Europe!!

Hey, I know where Middlesex is! I'm down in Meadow (hence the name).

Anyway, I'm proud of myself. While I waited for my son to get out of preschool in Smithfield, I went to Wal-Mart, TSC, and Lowes. All thinking about my brooder and my chicks and all. I lingered and looked at the Red pullets they had and made fawn eyes at them

(most of them were sleeping - or I hope that is what they were doing! Anyway, I'm proud that I made it out of there without breaking down and buying some. I really want my buff orpingtons, just a few more weeks!

Hopefully I can continue to resist the urge. I'm looking forward to taking my 5 year old to Sumner-Byrd and picking up our chicks.
