Let's try and have happy thoughts today, I have my first pip on my first Ameraucana this morning. I am very excited to see what they come out looking like. They are from really pretty blue/green eggs. The rooster is silver and the hens are lavender.

DD is very excited to grow some out and have colored eggs (she's my little egg collector).

These were shipped eggs, 8 total and all 8 were vital at lockdown, so lets see how many make it.

My week old babies are doing great, very calm and quite for the most part. Unusual for my brooders

. There are 3 English lavender splits (going to rehome them if anyone is interested?) and two F1 'bantam" lavender orpingtons.

I will get them in as soon as I'm of the computer.

HT.... I saw there is a show in Dec. in Smithfield. Do you travel that far????? Good Luck on those Ams

I put a bid on a BYC auction for White & BBs AMs. The seller had to cancel. He lost 45/52 of his bird yesterday from Buffalo gnats
hu.gif
I never heard of it. He said they enter the bird trough the nostrils and get in their airway and kill them. He is waiting on the states reports. SO SO Sad.

He does have 14 chicks he hatched last week in the house and 40 something egg in the bator. But still..... I could NOT imagine going outside to find almost my whole flock dead.
