Hi!! hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day!! it's hot here going to be in the upper 80's low 90's in the mountains so can imagine what the low lands are like. kids are already tubing and swimming. Me? I am getting food ready... Love all the pictures and HT wish i could have a little girl goat, but DH says nope and I would have to rely on him to put up a fence..

So anyway you all with roos should think about how good they will taste, We process our extras and they make great chicken n' dumplings, soup, etc. I know it's hard is for me. but that is what chickens were put here for...

I did not go.... I was hesitant, wasn't sure if I should spend an hour drive for nothing. Looks like it would have been worth the trip.

P.S. I have GL Polish.... I am hatching some out now for a friend, if ya want some chicks or hatching eggs PM me. I also have SL Polish & white crested black, but they are only a month old, but if I end up with too many roosters, I will let you know.

Do you know if there will be another swap there???

Well, hubby was short on wood to do the run.

Found out Home Depot was open so they're going to go get some more 2x4s now. Hopefully enough to get this done today! (We need more hinges too, but he says we only need 4.)

Wow... hubby is out working in this today and has to work outside doing lawncare tomorrow! I feel so terrible for him.

The kids have the sprinkler set up and are good to go with their squirt guns and bathing suits.... I just need me a cold beer and the shade on the front porch and I'm content.

Forgot to add....

At the auction in Clayton.... ANY Polish rooster goes for between $17-27 dollars a piece, at least the auction I have been to and I've been to quite a few. If they are sold as a pair more money. So $60 for the pair is about right, a little high.

These are adult birds, chicks go for $4-6 dollars and the price goes up as they get older.
