Seriously... just came back from doing more tests. We're thinking exotic diseases now!

While we wait on those tests, we're starting treatments for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever until we know more. Hopefully, this is it!

Had that when I was 6. Mid 80s was just before they found a good treatment. I got to be an experiment with a new med. I remember being given the med one day and then the next day I was getting better. That was how I saw it. The truth is that I had a fever so high from the meds that I don't remember the 2 weeks between those days. Screwed my metabolism up really bad. Been gaining weight ever since.

What really ticked me off was that I missed the school field trip to the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Never had the oppurtunity to go after that time. With my love of animals I probably wouldn't enjoy it now.

HI all,

SCM here is a picture of the BLR I got from you. He will be paired with a couple of the Black laced chicks I have. Not sure if I will keep them or sell them as a breeding trio.

if you find no takers here quick, there are ones in east tn thread im in, that would gladly take them, and have been looking.

thanks so much!! I may PM you in a few days for more info - I listed them in the auction area twice but no takers..

Carolyn..... what color should the BLRWs legs be. ??? I have some that have bright yellow, is that ok? The ones I have from you are obviously lighter.

Laughingdog, I like to paint inside and outsiide my coops for easier clean up. When I buy the paint I choose lighter colors in an attempt to keep it cooler.

Although I did try to match my house once (wrong color but a nice tan anyway) I usually look at the returned paint shelf. Lowes calls it Oops Paint. A nice exterior paint that goes for $20 can be as low as $8. The deals usually aren't so great on quarts so I stick with gallons. Make sure it is EXterior paint or it will wear off quickly. When we get the big coop ready to paint, I will use interior paint on the inside.

I also figure bright, light colors make it easier for me to see bugs! I purchased two dog houses to use as coops and they need a good coating of fresh paint inside. Then the chickens can poop everywhere and it might wash down easier, lol.
