I am so glad they made it! I can't believe that took that long when you are so close and they went priority. They didn't treat that box badly I hope?!

Evil PO people!

I'm not sure the last test I'm waiting on yet. 1 was for Mono, 1 was for Lyme, 1 was for RMSF and there were 3 additional tests I'm not sure what for?!
hu.gif
Calling their office right now, I'm so sick and tired of waiting. Its not a regular dr office, its an urgent care... so I'm not as urgent I guess?!

Okay, yours is definitely more pathetic than mine. I do live a mile down a dirt path that is filled with pot holes. I will say they FINALLY delivered my package this morning (it was a different postal worker...this one ALWAYS brings me my mail, even if it isn't a box...she likes "talking" with my DD) so now I have some YUMMY jam to eat for lunch!!
ya.gif
What test are they waiting on, do you know? I actually had to look up RMF because I (haha) thought it was only prevalent in the Rocky Mountains (hence the name). Sometimes, I wonder about myself.
gig.gif
Anyway, let us know if there is anything we can do to help. I am anxiously awaiting the results with you!! Hmm...it seems this has been a month of learning patience. Ugh!!

I am trying to get up the nerve to go upstairs and work on my sewing projects that I have. Sadly, I turned the AC off upstairs (we have dual heat/air) to conserve electricity and yesterday it topped out at 100 degrees.
lau.gif
I was sweating before I even began my workout up there!! Still, I have projects that NEED to get done - there's a wedding in just over a month!! Why does the heat zap all desire to work or do anything other than lay around and veg??
lau.gif
Or is it just me??
gig.gif
Say...now that I think of it...maybe that's why my chickens are not laying...it's too hot for them!!
hu.gif
I am still trying to think up excuses for them!!

Ruthann, I have also heard don't know how true it is but too many roos can keep the hens from laying because they are constantly after them, maybe some one else can verify this. I am still waiting for my youngest LO to lay, she is going in checking things out so maybe not too long.

I do hope that is not the case!!
hit.gif
we're not ready to process Cotton-tail yet...I don't have the equipment and DH is working this weekend.
hit.gif
Again, I do hope that is not the case...although that would excuse all but Jemimah as no one chases her!! She's a toughie!!
lau.gif
Gosh, they have to be approaching 7 months old by now, they were like 9 weeks when I got them in April...maybe they just don't like me!!
sad.png

Vfem - Everything arrived nicely, the other PO worker is just too lazy to actually drive down the road. If there wasn't a tracking slip emailed, I'd have never known it was at the PO for me to pick up as they didn't even leave the slip with me....until 2 days AFTER they claimed they attempted to deliver!
somad.gif
We won't talk about these lazy people. Perhaps the late results means they are retesting because something came back positive and they are double checking?
hu.gif
It's a thought. Not sure what else to offer up, sorry.
hugs.gif

Funny note: DD got her arm stuck in the puffs container because she had a handful and didn't want to let some go to allow her arm to fit!!
lau.gif
It reminded me of stories I hear about Raccoons!!
lau.gif
Apparently I don't feed this one enough, I mean she had to sneak the container off the table and was hiding underneath the table stuffing her mouth full of them. It was an entertaining site to say the least!!
gig.gif
Hope it at least brought a smile to your face!!

so now we know what and how to make our monkey traps with! lol

Ruthann... My EEs & Austroplorps did not lay until 7-8 months. Some birds just take longer. But once they get going......
big_smile.png

It is just too too hot .... I am not a fan of this heat
tongue.gif
I did buy a nice big pool and my kids are having a blast and I have been floating around on my float.
cool.png
Then tending to the animals, I hate to see them like this, I want to bring them all in the house.
roll.png
My Seramas only go out for a few hrs in the am, them spend the rest of the day chillin' in the AC.
lol.png

We have been bringing out ice bottles and frozen fruit & veges. Bathing the horse every day. Doing what we can to make it bearable. It rained good yesterday afternoon.... ALL the chickens were out in it, they didn't care about being wet after that blazing day.
smile.png

ML... I've been meaning to tell you, I love your avatar, I assume that is your ducking you raised in the house. She is beautiful.

Yes thats my duckling Bhep, Tonight she sleeps in the duck house in her own crate. I am having a very hard time letting her go. She is 7 weeks today
sad.png
She hangs out some with the other ducks but they will get her if they can get close, i hope they will eventually accept her. I would continue to have her inside I have the diaper harness but dh is is really not wanting her inside any more. He loves her but he thinks she will be better off with the others.
hit.gif
Thanks for thinking she is beautiful , Hey hows your little blind duck doing? and you goslings are they doing okay in this heat.

ML... my ducks & geese seem to fair better then the chickens. They spend most of the day in their pools & buckets.
smile.png

I know what you mean about not ready to let her go.
sad.png
I HATED putting my geese out. But they love it and spend a lot of their time right outside my back door. Unfortunately.... they poop all over the concrete.
sickbyc.gif
What a mess. But I love
love.gif
them..... so lots of sweeping and hose it down every night. My DD helps.
smile.png
They also now climb the stair and watch us through the door.
lau.gif
I am sure they would come on in if I let them, my dogs would not like that and I don't trust them.

When I let my younger ducks out, they stayed separate for a week or two, now they are one big happy family.
smile.png

And Blind Bob is doing great..
big_smile.png
He was doing flips in his pool this morning, had us all cracking up.

Lacy, bantam cochin broody, finally gave her babies up this evening. The babies are only 14 weeks old.
lau.gif

She did a good job and raised 7 babies from day 1. 6 are doing great, but we ate the mutt Roo a couple weeks ago. He was starting to pester everyone else and for some reason wanted to fight.

The Mixed girl, Pixie, is already claimed by mom. She was a mistake because I set the wrong egg. She looks exactly like Frixy, biological mother, who is Mom's hen as well. The 2 Dutch girls are staying and I need to go through the 3 Dutch Boys once they finish growing up. I hate deciding who to keep, but I can't keep 3 more little roos. The Blue Cream Light Brown girl, Dovie, is already extremely friendly. I have never had a hen raised chick be this friendly while still with her mother.

Now I need Pockets to let go of her 3 girls that hatched at the same time as Lacy's.
