I run my IP cameras and do not have to have the computer on. I had set up wireless in the house and I can access the cameras through my computers IP address. That being said I messed up the system recently because I hooked up an Ooma phone system. "Side Bar" the ooma phone box runs through your high speed internet and you hook a regular phone up to it and the cost....$3.57 per month free long distance. It is awsome and cheep. Do a search and you can check it out. Gives me more money for the chickens.

Okay back to the question. I got my system off Craiglist for raleigh area and the guy came out and set it up...I am not that tech savy. These are the cameras I am using. The pictures did not copy so if you go to craiglist Raleigh and put in IP camera it will come up. Hope this helps. I love them.

I want to hatch again so bad, but with everything that's gone on this summer between $, the busted coop and my health I PROMISED hubby I would wait until spring and we'd start a fresh new year then. Now I can't wait until spring, and it's not even fall yet!!!

I have no idea about squab at all... but I'm sure you could find a niche the market yourself if you want to

If you are going to sell for meat, maybe contact some local restaurants and see who'd be interested and keep a list available so contact them when the birds are ready and negotiate some prices later.
