Are you guys good at blowing out eggs to keep for decor? I haven't been able to do it without a mess!

I may try again, but I cracked it up bad!

My duck eggs yolk is so thick its not even funny, I don't know how well that would work.

Not to mention I've dropped one before, and it didn't even crack!!!!

I just tonight boiled up 3 dozen. Some for my kids to snack on some to feed to the chickens. I am getting about 1-2 dozen chicken eggs a day. But I sell them or trade them as fast as they lay.

If I knew anything about incubating I would take a few off your hands.. lol.. know nothing about incubating and do not have one

How are the boys doing? Are they getting friendlier, still letting you pet them? They still have a bit of growing to do

We had a small issue with the Black and white one.. He wouldnt let anyone near him and avoided the coop.. BUT now he is doing better. Took a day or two of searching him down after dark and carrying him back to the coop and hand feeding him to get him to warm up to me..

(they are SOOOO SPOILED!) The multi comes running when he sees me and loves to be held! Still having small issues here and there with the "pecking order" getting worked out.. My girls are not being kind at all!

But I know it is something that takes time.. No one has been brutally injured. So far so good!

I do have one question. Did they ever crow while with you? I have yet to hear either one crow

My white rooster is trying to crow and his brothers (rip

) were both avid crow-ers.. clockwork... Is it just being moved to another location or is it the breed is slower with that?

thats very very sweet! However, I should allow my DH more time with the chickens before I throw ducks into the mix!

When we are done building and living on our own property I will totally take you up on that! I was just talking over the list of other animals I want to add to our little farm with my DH the other day and ducks came up!
