GGCM - The EDD (estimated date of delivery) is 4/9/12 however if my record is one that remains the same...I'll venture to say that it will be closer to 4/19 - at least that's how DD was!! Hmm...I kind of like your idea. I could whip up a cake during my "nesting" phase, freeze it and then thaw it and frost it when the winner is announced!! Then again...I do already suffer from that terrible pregnancy amnesia problem!!
I like the chicken swap for a cake idea even better!! I'd definitely make a cake if I got another chicken!!
Maybe I will just have to play around with it and bring a cake to the Smithfield show for all of our BYC'ers!! That sounds do-able, right??
Kept the flock locked up yesterday and guess what?? We picked up 6 eggs yesterday!! I bet they will be happy to be out and about but their punishment is in effect until lunchtime (to give them plenty of time to lay...just in case). I am amazed at how few bugs are around already, and they've only been out for a week....WHY didn't I think of this sooner?? I really DO LOVE them following me around the whole yard. It's so cute. They are even extra gentle around DD who just squeals (no joke) in delight whenever they get close enough for her to stick her arm out and ALMOST touch them. They are obviously TOO SMART to get close enough to be touched (even my be) but still.
I did find them foraging in our "neighbors" woods (it the gulf between us) and when I called to them...they ALL came running, so I gave them a treat and then they stayed pretty close by. Have I mentioned that I LOVE my chickens and that I NEED more??
Off to the airport later on today to drop off the SIL, so have a great day everyone!!
Pst....HI BHEP!! I tried to stay away, but I've been up since 2 am (stinking baby is going to be a night owl). So...sorry I beat you on!! I'll go make some hot chocolate and pretend I wasn't here!!
