Morning everyone!

We had a mostly uneventful weekend. Dinner at Tir Na Nog in downtown Raleigh Friday night. My husband stayed home and finished my coop addition Saturday. I noticed his dog after the goose, so I threatened to take the goose to the auction.

Because of that, he built a fenced-in chicken yard with a run that expands to my front yard. Now when I fence the front yard in a couple of weeks, I'll be able to let the chickens/ducks/goose loose in the front yard without worrying about the dog. I just can';t stand seeing them cooped up!

I got some cleanign done and made a giant batch of chicken noodle soup yesterday. My son is sick and home from preschool today, but it's just that time of year.

All that bread talk is making me hungry!

Good morning everyone!!
I'm on late today because well...DD actually slept in until 9am so I was catching up on some sewing...then she decided after Skyping with grandma for an hour that it was indeed time for a nap!!

Although I am NOT complaining!!

SCM - I will bust out my actual recipe (as I make mine dairy free, so it's not as light and fluffy as it could be) after I get this quilt done

and will send it your way...if you don't hear from me by tomorrow, PLEASE remind me. My mind is like a black hole...it's sucking everything in, but nothing ever comes out, or is retained for that matter!!

I am blaming this on the whole pregnancy amnesia thing!!

I am excited to report that all weekend...ALL weekend we were able to gather 6 eggs a day!!

That means we're getting closer to EVERYONE laying an egg a day!! Of course that also means we're closer to them tapering off because of the nasty cold weather coming...oh wait...it's suppose to be beautiful all week!!

Another reason to celebrate!!

Aly, I am over the moon THRILLED for at least the call back. Says alot about my husband.

Ruth, I love sleeping in... don't get used to it with another on the way!

Brian said the second job interview went well and that they would call by the end of the week with the managers decisions.

Wish us luck...

... but I'm still off applying to other jobs. In fact, I sadly applied to a job that will put him on the road 3 weeks out of the month so he'd be gone a lot. But we do what we need to do!

I have missed being on here. You'd think with less sunlight I'd have more time to hang online, but it seems that I have a ton to do around the house. Been helping DH set up boat for duck hunting, cleaning house, doing laundry. Five people can generate a ton of dirty or dirty things! My broody mama is doing great with her chick. Heading over to broody thread next. Go back one page - I think - for the pumpkin bread machine recipe. Might set it up to have hot bread for breakfast tomorrow morning! Love timers!

Glad to hear your calling the Dr. you don't need to let this go on. let us know what you find out. And it's just 2 of us and I say we're either the cleanest or dirtest people because I always have a ton of laungry. Pumpkin bread does sound so good. I am doing mine in the morning.

My kids just devoured a loaf of banana bread with raisins at dinner.

I 'm a hero

I "slaved" over the bread machine this morning and made Cinnamon raisin.... I suppose that will be gone before the bus gets here at 6:27 AM tomorrow morning.

ML - I have a bread machine book with over 250 recipes in it, there are several (o.k.16) cinnamon recipes.

Looking for anything specific???

ML.. My machine came with a manual/recipes book.

It gives options of 1 1/2 lbs., 2 lbs. & 2 1/2 lbs. loaves of bread. I don't do a thing except put the ingredients in the pan.
