Sorry, Everyone, I have been gone for a bit. I have migrated for a short winter with my 12 hens and roo to the coast of NC from the mtns of NC. I had a light stroke and the family was not satisfied that I COULD BE ALONE THIS WINTER. I could have been but why worry them. So far its been lots of adjusting but its ok. I would hate the summer here though. Much too hot. I can barely wait till April to go back. Who is on the Southeastern Coast that has hatching eggs that are pure and linebred? I would love to have some N.jaehorns, SLW etc. Gloria Jean

I have Norwegian Jaerhons and I absolutely love them. I have hatching eggs to sell. I am currently getting more than a dozen a day. I can ship them to you if you want some now and I am planning on hatching some in the spring. I will be glad to sell the chicks sexed since they are autosexing. You can buy all pullets or whatever you want. The funny thing is I live 25 miles west of Murphy on the TN line and I teach at Tri-County Community College which is less than an hour from Franklin. So we were pretty close to each other before you moved to the other side of the state. If you want to wait until spring when you come back to the mountains I could meet you with chicks or eggs. PM me if you are interested.

Sorry its taken so long to answer ..I have been in class this for training for my new job ,had the pleasure of being PEPPER SPRAYED what a joy that was
now I get to start work on Monday ..Anyway most of the birds here in the states lay a brown egg I have one hen that lays a purpleish color egg , but egg color is
not a major concern .I am breeding my birds for showing.. Well last Sunday , my first hatched was a success 15 out of 16 good percentage, 25 are hatching today
30 for the next 3 weeks each...I am done stuffing the incubator for a while so if any one wants some eggs I'll have some available here's a list

Standard Black Langshan
Bantam Langshan
Bantam New Hampshire
Bantam White Japanese these would have to be as assortment as the are not laying alot

Well thanks ,this must be Shane I'll still be raising my bantam Langshan they need alot of work

I have gotten 3 spckled sussex babies.. I am pretty sure that two of them are pullets, but the last one I am not sure about. I need help.. I cant really get upset if one is a roo as they were given to me from down stocking..

Great! Gloria Jean, I'll call you in April. It will be nice to meet you. We may have some other chicken people to get together with here in the far west of NC soon as I will be teaching a beginning chicken class in Con. Ed. at TCCC in February. It should be a fun class. I know I will have fun and I hope the students will too.
