. I do keep up on the thread and read it everyday. For me today I will be cleaning and sanitizing out my tractor and kennel/pen today to set up as a quarantine area. I am getting ready for my new porcelain silkie boy and a companion girl arrival on Thursday. The end of this summer I was growing out 4 porcelains to put with my two gals, so I was hoping for a nice boy. I got all girls

. Say a little prayer for theiere r safe and HEALTHLY arrival.

Here is my soon to be new porcelain boy. He is more on the buff side but that was what I was looking for in a boy, eventhough standards on this color prefer lighter. It took me some work and talking to 4 breeders but I found the one for me. He is in WA state now. He is eiht months old and has never been with a lady , but he will have 4 when he passes quarantine. He will be a happy boy

Oh here is a picture of two of my favorites. A wcblack frizzle bantam polish cockeral and a bantam frizzled cuckoo polish pullet. Since they are both frizzled I wont be able to breed these two beauties together,so we (my ds6) and I are working on a growing out a few others to get what we would like for a breeding trio for each color.

Some lovely chickens in those last three posts! I really love that silkie. I don't get to keep those since I free range, but I think they're gorgeous.

So far this morning we've clipped bunny toenails and done routine preventative for ear mites, chosen who stays from the earlier litter, and rebred a doe. Going back out shortly to butcher the rest of the litter. Looks like rabbit for supper.

Also, there's an ad on CL for dairy cross bull calves. I'm interested in two, maybe three. He gives a volume discount. Anyone else looking? If so and we pool together, might get a better price.

I wish I could post a pic from my phone of the EE we got from BHep. She did amazing through the night. We got her home and found our other ladies much bigger than her so we kept her in her own little pen in the house. We're gonna wait till she has a little more size on her before we introduce everyone.

It was great meeting the ladies we did :)

I was wondering if you got one...

Ours is small, she and a silkie are best buds, for a long while they were in their own little house in the front yard. They started getting braver and exploring the yard more so we moved them, house and all into the pen with the other girls. They still sleep in their own house but are with everyone else now. Surprisingly they were introduced with little to no scuffles.

I wish we could put them all together but one of our Flower hens, Ginger, is mean to the new comers. I know she needs to establish the pecking order but I don't want the little one getting her cause Ginger is almost twice her size.
