This is what happens when you spend the whole morning... dragging out every toy you own... into the middle of the floor and playing like there's no tomorrow. Maybe he was taking an inventory??? Anyway... he has quite a mess to clean up once naptime is over. LOL ( He is my ♥ )

Troy keeps saying what a huge rooster Wendell is, I think he is beautiful.

Oooo how pretty...what kinds laid those? Love the olive egg, wish my EE laid a bright blue egg like that, hers are still pretty kinda blue/green color.

Good Afternoon, Happy People!

We went early this morning and picked up three calves. They're home and set up...now I have to bottle feed for a few weeks. I'm grateful that calves do fine on twice a day! The dogs are fascinated!

Now we have shear the sheep. And then Monday they all go to freezer camp and the calves get pasture access. And next week is hatch!

I wish I only had to work on cold days, and could stay home on warm ones.

Oooo how pretty...what kinds laid those? Love the olive egg, wish my EE laid a bright blue egg like that, hers are still pretty kinda blue/green color.

Priscilla lays the olive eggs, Lisa Marie lays the blue and my buffs lay the pinkish brown ones. Elvis, Priscilla and Lisa Marie are supposed to be Aracaunas but they are some kind of crossed mutts, I think. Lisa Marie will skip a day and lay a giant double yolker, the inside of the shells are a beautiful blue.

Starts at 2pm sharp..until all the boxes are gone. They run approx 100 boxes per hour. You can view the animals from 1-2. Auction opens at 10am.
The BYC crowd will be in the far corner.
