North Carolina

Hi All,
I'm new here and Just getting started at raising my backyard chickens here in Wilmington. Coop and run almost done! I am thinking of ordering my chicken from Murray McMurray, but must order a lot of 15 minimum. I can only keep 6-8. Anyone out there interested in ordering with me?
Let me know!

What are you looking to get? I just got a big order of barred rock and easter egger pullets and have TONS of extras. I also have blue sex link pullet chicks available.

That's about the truth of it for most of us too~

Does anyone know when the chicken sale/swap is going to be in NC? and where it will be? I was hoping there might be one in the Winston Salem area....? I may have a few chicks I could bring to sell (Black Copper marans, maybe a Norwegian Jaerhorn or two and possibly a couple Rhodebars, mille fleur d'uccles and blue ameraucanas).

Thanks for any info!

There will be a poultry show on March 30 at the dixie classic fairgrounds in Winston-S. Outside will be lots of sellers and buyers.

Darn, Everyone, ok not everone but some of you are talking snow and floods and new rivers. Here on the EAST coast, (see, I got it right today), all I am getting is mist. My chickens are out bugging and no snow or big rain in sight. I want some snow, but then again, my older girls demand a walkway when it snows. Yes, I spoil them. The kids are loving the mist and think they will take to a dusting of snow if we are so lucky. Dream on kids....

Coop, let me know when the next meet is and I will think about it. That is still a 5 hour drive for you just to get me and return me..... You must really love to drive. I guess driving in So Cal, took the love of driving out of me. Old commute use to be 31/2 hours both ways, no thank you anymore.

Sorry for the losses some have suffered. I guess I have been lucky, no critter attacks, no mad dogs or human stealing. Guess it is the watch dogs and cats, the horse that feeds some of his girls feed, the mean older rooster and smart chickens Plus alot of good ole fashion luck...

Everyone enjoy their day and try to stay dry.
