IDK about all that foil, but this does seem to be quite a few people having this problem of being hacked.

I wish I knew who is going the hacking, so we could all put them on the chopping block. I wonder if there is a place that all who were hacked have in common? Do they have an rfv chip (don't know if I got it right). My bank card does not because I know they don't even need to see the card. These do get scanned from out side of the wallet/purse. I don't like not knowing if I can use my card when I go out.

HEY NEW GUY!! You are in the right place to find helpful chicken addicts

..... I know I got my bator up and running.

I don't think that Beth's was ever shut down this season.

Just look what I got from her in the winter....

I need to take new pics. These were hatched on 11/23 & 11/30. Same Silkies in both pics.
I have to say they are much fuller bodied, and alert from day one than the shipment that I got just a few weeks before.
Please , take the time if you get chicks from a small hatchery, or backyard flock for example to look around to see who they are cared for, and if the birds you are getting really look healthy. It would seem that a large hatchery would be the way to go. It can work out, but not always, they work with high volume, not quality. I have personally had much better luck with a lower mortality rate from my own hatchlings than that of Larger hatcheries. I can say only good about the birds that I got from Beth. She also often knows who has what she does not have. Good luck all as you try to fill in your flocks. Someone called me the other day, and I am getting those Partridge Plymouth Rocks that were so allusive last fall.

I also was able to break off some of my flocks into smaller breeding flock yesterday, so here we go!

The Sumatras now want to use the big hen house. Who could have guessed. I did not even bother moving them. I just need to evict all the other happy roos when the sun comes up in the morning, so they don't chase her. not that they can catch her. She will just fly up into a tree.

He was also getting chased by an extra large Wild Thing, but we tossed him out to scratch about the yard too.It is not hard; the big sweet guy will just follow where you go if you have a feed bucket.

Sumatras

Wild Thing is at the top... oops! It is late and I'm gonna leave it!
Good night all, and happy hatching, and planting; it's that time of year.

Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

Another long day in the making. Hubby will return from his trip tonight, so I'll be able to see him on Valentine's Day. Take note of the people who love you today!

Six of the fifty chicks I moved out moved back in last night with poopy butt. I'll have to watch for more. But they cleaned up easily enough. Hopefully they only need to stay in a couple days.

Jake seems to be feeling much better on these meds. His reevaluation is the 27th. Cross your crossables!

Enjoy the day!

Yeah, the transactions that went through add up to almost $500. But the bank is filing a fraud report and will refund the disputed ones. They did point out that they started on a day I had four PayPal transactions, and while that could be a coincidence, to let PP know anyway.
That is a chunk of your hard earned money! I have noticed more than a few people having to deal with debit card fraud in the last few months. Last month my bank called to inform me that there were a few 'red flags' on my debit card, two dating services and one flower purchase of $108 from FTD!! I got the phone numbers from my bank and called those three places. All of the charges were removed within a week. But I would like to find that person who stole my card number and make his life so totally miserable!! Like...making him get a real job and work to get his spending money!!

I hope that all of your money is returned very soon.

Good Morning and Happy Valentine's Day to my Chicken Peeps!!

Hollow - I am SO sorry you have had to deal with this! I have actually been thinking about switching banks because ours is SO far away (the closest one is 35 minutes away) and have heard good things about 1st Citizen!! I'm praying everything gets straightened out for you and quickly!!

Chicken news: the chicks have been allowed grass time the past few days and ALL but 5 have decided they'd rather bunk with the biggies!!

DH had such a hard time locking them up last night as they wanted to go into the juvi pen...I responded, why not let them?!? LOL, he was like, Oh!

Still doing research on Freedom Rangers as the minimum order is 25 chicks and I am not sure even if we sell a few, if we can handle/process/afford to grow all of them!! I heard they do not require as much food as Cornish, since they are capable of free ranging and such, but I might check out doing fermented feed for them (will need someone to walk me through that... <ahem, Alex, ahem>) to see if they grow better and with "less" feed! I wonder about Jersey Giants...I know they are DP....maybe they'd be a good investment too?!? ACK...now I am being attacked by chicken math!!

Found a recipe on how to make your own ACV so I am (next week) going to try it out!! I need to make some applesauce for the runt anyway, so it works out perfectly!! I will keep you posted on how it works (or not) in case anyone is interested!! I'm hoping it works as it would be nice to have an "endless" supply ... once our apple trees actually start (IF) producing!!

WELCOME to the new folks!!
