Good morning folks

The cold is making a return visit but since it is
actually still winter I guess we shouldn't be
surprised. It was looking so pretty with the trees
in bloom and the daffodils making seas of sunshine
in gardens..........hope the cold doesn't hurt it all
too much. I can hope that the bugs had started
to come out and the cold will reduce their
numbers for next summer.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Wild - I've been looking into Freedom Rangers as they are a more durable breed (they retain what little smarts meat birds have....hehe) BUT they do take an average of 4 weeks + longer to mature, so I'm sure that affects the cost ratio. I just liked the idea of not having to confine them and worry about finding them face down in their water bowl or feed dish because they were too fat/lazy to move. We will probably be ordering some this early spring (once the juvis are fully moved out of their pen...I'm thinking March) and that way we SHOULD be set for chicken this fall/winter! I can let you know how it goes for us if you'd like.

Anxiously awaiting my lunch date with the hubby today!! Although, we are going minivan shopping

I always said I NEVER wanted to be a minivan mom... <sigh> NEVER say NEVER, huh??

Hey guys, Good Morning.
I won second place in the jewelery contest.

I have a couple of not chicken related items that I am looking for
1. an electric pottery wheel
2. an electric kiln.
I have been taking pottery classes and would love to be able to work on stuff at home.
I figured since we have members all over the state maybe some one knows some one with one in their shed or house they don't use any more.

In my chicken world, my new chicks are getting bigger. They are very sweet and love to be carried (they are spoiled). My kittens love chicken tv.
My ladies gave me 12 eggs yesterday. Which means all of my brown egg layers laid

Still waiting on a blue egg but I do get a green egg or two every week.

I just want to cry, a dog has gotten into my runs oon the fron lot.

...and NO! I don't feel sorry for him if the thing comes back

I have a present waiting for him. I hope my little guy does not want to go up to visit them today.
