OOHH!! Welcome back and YAY for all the broodies!! Haha, so if ALL the eggs hatch, how many would you expect? I bet you your DH will forget about it the next time you go away...LOL, MEN!!
NH- I found this recipe online around Christmas time, one of my aunts is allergic to a lot. It was easy to make and she loved it.Ingredients
Thank you as well Wild!! I will look it over (since I would have to make a lot of substitutions - not sure how it would work) and see what I have on hand...LOL, it doesn't need to be all that impressive, after all, this child eats (and LIKES) cold liver!!

Congratulations on your new business card!! They look really nice!!

Funny note: Broody mama took the 2 eggs I let her have and moved them from one nest to the other...LOL I think I really NEED to get some eggs under her before she changes her mind!! LOL

atmaclean, I have one hen that lays one that big occasionally, she will just randomly skip a day of laying and the next day this is what I get.

This is the only pic I could find on here but she also has laid bigger ones than that one, the egg next to it is 73g, so it is a large egg.

I have a question...I think I do this a lot .. When you guys let your chickens out say while you are working in the garden or yard, how do you get them back in when you are ready to go in? Do you just wait for them to go to roost? Or is there a trick to getting them in when you want them in?
Hope everyone has a super fantastic day, Hubby and I are headed to the ramp patch, whoo hoo!

Good morning all! Welcome newcomers!

Now that I have my "girls" in the coop/run full time, I have a question. My run is completely secure, but I have been closing the girls in the coop at night and opening the door in the morning. There is one girl who has been sitting on the roost bar in the run huddling next to the chicken wire. I pick her up and put her in the coop and then close everyone in for the night. Should I just leave the door open and let them sleep where ever they want, even if it's outside in the run?
