We have brought this particular hen inside tonight and she is sleeping on a straw pile on the floor. We gave her some yogurt, cucumber, and tuna.
Thanks again...Amanda

Good morning folks

it is a pretty spring this year.....the azaleas,
wisteria and trees are all blooming at the
same time.........not a common event as
usually the dogwoods bloom a touch after
the azaleas and the wisteria just before them
.....but already 3 months of the year are gone
.......my how time is speeding by

hope your day is a good one

Nothing going on around here chicken/duck wise...it's Monday - that's for sure. DH took a half day today so I can get my annoying GD test done without having to bring the kiddos with me for the 2+ hour session. I understand the importance of it; however, I really do find it annoying and they do NOT take into consideration families. Do you really think it would be a good idea to have to wake my kids up at 6am to get them ready to leave by 7 (at the latest) to drive 45mins (plus however long traffic backs up) to have an appointment at 8...drink some nasty fake chemical (which I always make them order the real sugar water for me) then sit for hours while waiting....so NOT kid friendly. I say all that to boast that my DH asked to go in late this morning so I would be "kidless"! What a guy.

Broody mama doing well. Still sitting on 14 eggs as we did not get a chance to get the 2 out from under her. DH is "suppose" to do that this morning...hehe...along with all my other chores (stuffing diapers anyone?!?).

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Have had my babies for a week, and they are so much fun. Love watching chicken tv. Moving them into the coop later this week i think. 6wks old and fully feathered, but I'm nervous about it.

I've tried giving my little gals yogurt in hopes of getting some probiotics in them. Does anyone know if I can just spinkle and acidophilus capsule on their feed instead?

I have been doing the yogurt as well as a powder bird supplement. She is being a bit more active but not 100%. Her crop is back to normal size finally too! Thanks for the input, just have to be relentless with her.
