Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

Another lovely day ahead of us. Can't wait to see what it brings!

Had to get up with doggies several times during the night, so slept in. I'm enjoying this sleeping in stuff!

A hearty welcome to all the new folks! Jump in feet first here....it's a great place to be!

Enjoy this wonderful day!

Good morning :) I'm sitting out on my front porch having my morning coffee watching the early bird steal the worm as the house wrens decide to build nest in my Boston Ferns. Looks like another nice day here in (Davidson County) NC! Can't wait to bring the babies out for a while! Have a wonderful day!

My last barred rock I've yet to bring myself to be able to cull after my culling of her sister went terribly wrong.
I was giving tylan injections, and while her face isn't swollen and got some color back, she still has a runny nose and stinky face.

Anyway, it was about 3 days ago she got her last Tylan injection and I had to do it in her thigh since I couldn't get a good shot at her breast (all I could feel was ribs and crop, I thought I would make it worse so went for next largest muscle). As soon as I gave it to her she started hopping on one foot. It's been 3 days and she still is hopping on the one foot. I've read that Tylan and other injections can cause paralysis. Does anyone know if this is temporary or what I can do to help it? I've been googling stuff and searching on here, and I can't find anything.

Thanks guys, hope everyone has a good day!

Paralysis can also be caused by hitting a nerve with the needle. For any cause, time will tell. No way to predict if it's permanent or not. I'm sorry.

My son just called me to tell me he aced his Organic Chemistry exam. WooHoo! (He does not enjoy chemistry but as a bio major he has to take it, of course. I wasn't fond of it either!)

I love that my son calls me after every exam. Sometimes to brag, sometimes to commiserate, sometimes to moan. But he calls me after every single one.
