My little silkie is still showing blood in poop this morning still gel like. Can 8 month olds get coccidia? Do I need to get corid now?
I really don't know but I would think any age can get cocci.
I'm sure there is a thread or info somewhere on BYC. Good luck
and hope your silkie will be okay

Some say coccidia, some say lining of the intestine, some say worms, I'm all confused. She drinks but not eating while I'm out there watching. Looked like a little egg with it to. I'm ordering the fish mox today hate to order Corid if its not that

Newhomesteader - I want to see the video of the spider! I am fascinated by spiders... I don't want to touch them or hold them, but I can watch them for a really long time. Have seen a couple of HUGE Wolf spiders with babies swarming on/around them... too cool.
Hope everyone's weekend is going well. I have babies hatching, can hear chirp, chirp, chirp from the dining room. LOVE hatch day!

I will have to PRY the video from my husband (it's on his phone...LOL). He has been enjoying sneaking up on me and shoving his phone in my face just because he knows spiders give me the "heebie jeebies". I prefer to stay FAR FAR FAR FAR away from any/all spiders. LOL I think I'd rather hug a snake!! LOL

Here in all of it's terrifying glory is a photo snapshot of the monster though... This is certainly the thing of my nightmares!! LOL (If you look closely, at first we did honestly THINK it had 10 legs...LOL also, after much research, it appears to be a type of "trap door" spider - he/she was in a burrow made of "silk" that was under the duck pool. Just glad it's NOT venomous!!)

I know that many of you are thinking ewwwww, but I think she is pretty! There really are 10 legs, or at least they all look like legs! and soooo shiny!

I don't want to cuddle with her, but I do like looking at her. I am going to PM you my info, so you can send me the video... or ask your hubby to if you can't get the phone away from him.

Happy Fathers day to all the fathers out there!

Moores6 - YES, I DO want a kitten, but my old cat wouldn't have a minute of it! She was way too happy when her "sister" passed away a couple of years ago. Her personality actually changed a lot and she became much happier. We decided no other cats or dogs until she is gone. She is 13 and looks/acts much younger, I told my husband last night she is never going to die. LOL. She is a great cat, spends time in and out, still hunts and brings home presents for us.

Actually there are only 8 legs. The front 2 are pedipalps. These are part of the mouth and can contain sexual organs in the male for transferring sperm. Pedipalps in trapdoors are so long that they appear to be an extra sets of legs.

Maybe your hubby was trying to induce labor by showing you the video!
