What is the best for fly, bug, mosquito control...other than Guinea and Starbar Milk Jug stuff from TSC (didn't work for me last year!)???? Thanks!

I bought those really expensive fly predator wasp things and I had NOOOO luck!
I don't even have chickens out there anymore and I'm still overrun with flies.
I got some fly trap container at TSC because it was on sale (not the milk jug like a clear container you put bait in and the flies go in). It STINKS, but there are a ton of flies in there. Still a ton in my yard though.....
I think it must be the south because we never had flies or mosquitoes back home like they do here!

I got 20 poults in the mail this morning! :D

For flies, I use a combination of fly predators, traps, fly paper, and rubs for the cows. If you use the fly predators, you have to make sure to use a method of dispersal that doesn't just feed the fire ants. Hanging cups with Vaseline on the string works well. Spreading them on the ground is fire ant food.

I swear by fly paper. I put them EVERYWHERE! The only bugs that are bad at my house this year are the 'skeeters. I finally figured a few of the gutters on my house aren't degreed and there's stagnant (<spelling?) water

why can't it ever be an easy fix?

That's probably what happened to all mine then!
The directions just said to spread around so I did.
I ordered wayyy more than I should have needed and never saw one, nor was there a decrease in flies.
My husband put up the fly paper that hangs down, I walked into those things so many times or got my hair caught in them it was a mess, guess I should pay more attention to where I'm going!

In my search for a sexed silkie I came across Amber Wave Bearded Silkies who apparently have a celebrity client list and show quality silkies that they DNA sex. They have a white female available now that's $175 after shipping. I want it so bad, I don't know how I'm going to convince my husband on this one! I don't show birds or anything so that's a pretty hefty price tag for a backyard chicken. It's soooo pretty though!

Hahahaha I'll sell you my "show" Roo that never crows for that much.....IMO that's a ridiculous price for something I'd end up eating
