Moomoo if you go to page 133 of the thread "csu chicken state u" in breeds and genitics, they are covering the cornish breed now. You will learn what to look for in a good and bad cornish

Just popping on to say hello to everyone!! We should have some ducklings hatching this weekend and in 2 weeks, we should have a "few" (she's on 12) chicks hatching as well. If anyone is interested in some chocolate muscovy ducklings, please let me know!! If all 8 hatch, we will have WAY more than we need/know what to do with!!

For those of you keeping track...no baby here either (thus me popping on...didn't want you all to have false hope...I know I already do. LOL). If I am able to, I'll post IF it ever happens...

I am in Montgomery co in troy. I am looking for some polish eggs to hatch or anything cool or pheasants. Lol. I really don't want them shipped. I want to pick them up. So if you are close let me know. Please pm me cause it hard to keep up on here sometimes. Let me what you got and maybe we can work it out. Thanks for the reply

We were going to build a tractor for the baby chicks, but we ended up just building a separate area in the run for them to go into until they are big enough to be added to the flock. Here are some pictures of them all in there.

Notice the older hens on top, they thought that we built a "jungle gym" for them.

Good morning folks

We managed to miss out on the rain yesterday
and even started to dry out just a bit but I don't
hold out much hope for that to continue long
enough for us to truly dry out and there is a storm
out in the tropics that I am willing to bet will add
to the rainfall totals here. I just hope it dries out
enough and long enough for the farmers to get
their crops in.....those fields are too wet for them to
harvest........not good

hope your day is a good one

OMG the Rain! I finally got the lawn mowed yesterday and I have to weed eat this week. I am so ready for this rain to go away. Today is my hubs (36) and my sweet little girl's 4th birthday! She is my chicken buddy!

They chickens have only gotten to "free range" for an hour or two the last couple days because everytime I let them out it starts to rain! What are you guys doing for all this mud. Mine was ok for about 5 days of rain... now it is getting ridiculous! But luckily I have lots of rocks in our soil : ( so there are rocks everywhere in the run.

Eggs are coming in about 3 a day now and sometimes in nesting boxes. Having a great time with our chickens...Have a great day!

Crazy last few days. Went in for a regular wisom tooth removal and ended up being admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery. I'm a whole bunch better now, except they had to cut my beard off and now my face is cold =( Hope everyone is well!
On a chicken note: homemade roosters taste the best !
