Good morning! I had to make a trip to VA to get a break from the rain. I left the DH a honey do list but the rain made it impossible to work outside. I'll never be able to get more birds if we can't get the run finished! I hope everyone has a good day. Enjoy the WCA if you go!

Hi everyone!

We're back after 2 weeks and the kid next door kept all my chicks alive!
I really thought I'd be able to sex them all by now, but they are being quite tricky!
I'm going to keep 3, fingers crossed I get one girl in there!

At our resort in Punta Cana there were PEAFOWL everywhere!!! It was fabulous!!! The mama's all had little babies. They would even come eat food out of our hands. One sat on our veranda and would randomly call out all night. I loved it, my husband not so much! It's going to take some work to convince him on letting me get them now.

Where is said flea market? I love flea markets but am new to North Carolina and don't know where things like that go on!

Happy Sunday, all! Hoping for lots of sunshine Hubs thought it would be a good idea to clean the coop with a hose {bless his heart} I don't think it will EVER dry out so I can put in some pine chips to catch said poo that is glued to the floor. He DOES love the chickens as much as I do, so I shouldn't complain when he tries to help... love him.

Had to save 6 swimming hens. Yard flooded. Coop is 3 ft off of ground and water ran inside. All eleven survived but didn't like being wet....Need some sunshine now to dry it up!

Flea market is in Smithfield that we to majority of the time but there is one in raleigh that's pretty nice too. It was a pretty slow day there and that's weird because usually its packed when it is pretty. We got there around 6 to set up (I'm trying to sell some oft old clothes and house decor and my hubby has tones of tires to get rid of) but we left at 12 because it was way too hot for no more than was there.
On another note... Can somebody help me figure out what breed of chicken this is?
