Spokane is beautiful!  Everything south of that is kinda blah, and everything west of their between Spokane and Ellensburg is pretty blah too.  Can you tell I like mountains??    You'll get some nice snowfall there too.  Pretty, but cold.

My two favorite places on the West coast are Bellingham, WA and Coos Bay, OR.

We have 6 horses (all rescues). When moved here, I swore I'd die here, lol. Apparently, God had other plans. We're moving for work; going back to the dair industry. The horses are going; I'm hoping to move my flock (14 bantams, 40 lf; 12 guineas) less the guineas, which I don't want to listen to for 2880 miles. No family there, but inlaws are in Az and have some extended family in Or.

We also have 5 dogs, 6 cats, and 4 kids. Hunny is taking the oldest (17) ans at least one of the dogs when he heads out after Christmas. Meh.

I have that same exact pair of gloves! They are my favorite! Not overly good at keeping hands warm though, but if you put one of those handwarmer packs on the top part it should do the trick. Maybe a pair of fingerless gloves over the top of these would work too? That way all the bulk would be around the back of your hand/palm area and your fingers would still be free to move about the cabin so to speak.

Once I'm done with the wet and icky stuff, I change to heavier gloves if I need to.

Something else you can try- while not hand related is keeping your ears and neck covered. I have a fleece earwarmer around my neck and then my knit one which I'll wear even over my hat with ear flaps. I find that if I can keep those parts covered and warm, in addition to the gloves, I don't turn blue as much. I would much rather come back in sweating and have to unload layers than get to the point of having issues. I'll even wear the ear warmers to bed and have fewer issues. The nights of hats, scarves, and mittens in bed are fewer since wearing the earwarmer/s.

If you have issues with your arms/wrists, you can use arm warmers. You can order them online if you can't find them in a sporting good store that has actual running gear. I've been known to use leg warmers on my arms, too.

I've heard some people have had good luck with compression sleeves, too. They seem to help thwart the vasospasm for some. I'll see if I can find a link....

I'd take out the main bullies. If everyone was pecking, the peepers would go on.

It seems like they never adjust to new ones in the group. We had more before we moved all ALL were raised together from day one. But whenever we brought in a newbie they would gang up on them. it's crazy. The one that just died mr. Chicken, I got from a school that hatched eggs back in the spring and 2 eggs had "dried" out and I brought them home and literally picked the shell off them so they would survive. And they both did very well until miss chicken was pecked to death in August. then mr chicken died on thanksgiving.

You can get the ones with the thumb hole that cover to top of the hand and then wear gloves over.

Definitely a troll, lol. My youngest brother was a Uper for a while- he was a LOT closer to Canada than he was to my parent's house in SW Mi. Lololol.

Slow introduction if you can. I always did several weeks where they could see each other but not get to each other. Peepers could help, too.
