I'm waiting for snow! I want snow! If it's going to be frozen so I have to schlep water, then I want something pretty to look at! SNOW!

Plus, I want my Thursday classes cancelled.

She's doing good!
She has really pretty blue silver colored legs which I hadn't seen on a chicken before.
She's gotten a lot of red in her face lately so she should be laying pretty soon.
She's pretty interesting looking-- she's really small like a bantam & a big fluff ball of frizzle feathers.
I can't wait to see what color eggs I get, the kids really like her, her name is Olivia

I know I go on about the cold and the pain I feel from it but first
snow is different...........it brings out the memories, young playful
feelings.....giddyness........the kid inside.........until I get cold enough
to regain my senses...........so SNOW already!!!!!!!

You are both so right!.... I love the beauty and the memories. I feel like I'm going to get out of a school day! LOLOL It takes a little more preparation as an adult but I think I'm ready. I'm sitting here in my recliner watching about 3 sets of fat cardinals fighting over the BOSS in my birdfeeder. Beautiful. I have suet for the smaller birds. They are telling me the snow is coming but I haven't seen it yet here by Rocky Mount.

We've got sleet now...

It does take extra prep, but we've got feed laid in for humans and animals, hubby picked up an extra round bale, we have gas for the generator, and everyone is as snugged in as I can make them.

AND I get out for snow days! Half today, all of tomorrow, and we'll see about Thursday! Woohoo! I get the best of both worlds!

I'm just mad that it didn't get here sooner to ware the kids out some. I swear someone hooked my kids up last night with an IV drip of nothing but PURE SUGAR while they slept. They have been trying to bounce off the walls all day waiting for this snow, and they started the day off at 6 am without me waking them up. THEY WOKE ME UP.
