Hey hey nc people!
Spring is almost here!! Yay
Anyone out there interested in meat breeds or a meat breeding project? If u are in western nc I could possibly hook u up with some eggs or chicks. I'm gunna try breeding jumbo Cornish with dark Cornish with freedom rangers. Yes I know they are hybrids and it's unpredictable, but I can't help but be curious

don't look down on me for mixing, I'm also breeding heritage dark Cornish

PM me if u are interested. Should have some eggs in a couple months.

You should see my meat projects. They are fast growing and large but still lay around 200 eggs a year. I'll have to get some pictures.

The first one yesterday was a darker olive & today it was more green, but a darker green than my Easter Egger. Pretty eggs, fat on one side and pointy on the other.

When I hatched my other Olive Eggers a couple months ago the breeder (she used Blue Copper Marans over Araucana hens), she told me if it has the little bumpy comb (I can't remember if it's rose or pea, I have a hard time keeping them straight) then they will have more green in the eggs & when you get the random one with a straight comb they will lay brown eggs. I have no idea the genetics or truth to this, just what she saw in her hatchings I guess, but mine has a nice little rose comb & lots of green in the eggs.

we will be back soon too jeremy ( im the same girl that texted a bit back to tell you how gorgeous my hens are and i think so far i have 2 that are def going to the show and 1 maybe) ..my book just came when are you gonna have the blue laced red wyandottes.. ? id like one of those for sure in my batch

Hi everyone, I'm Amber and live I West Hoke. I was wondering if anyone had an ameracana or Aracuna pullet chick for sell and a frizzle silkie pullet chick. I really only need one or two of each and would like it to be under 3 weeks. I have 39 other chicks all under 25 days. I'm not sure what breeds I have, well beside 3 buff laced polish and 10 cornish x.

At this moment I have a few easter eggers hatching. They are a mixture of different ameracauna breeds therefore easter eggers. unfortunately they are not even a day old so I can't really sex them for you.

hey guys! I have a cute little Americana cross X Japanese Roo. he is the sweetest, but he thinks fighting with his big brother Leven will get him to the top of the pecking order....silly ol boy!

I need to sell him.....im already keeping WAY too many roos from this NYD hatch.

today he is about 8 weeks old, hatched January 1st 2014. he is looking excellent! a brownish tan color....most likely will have a Japanese bantam tail once older.....his comb is weirdly growing in, because he had burned it on our heating element built into our brooder when he was a day old.

he is an excellent old boy and id hate to get rid of him.....please PM me if interested. you may ask any questions you'd like.

Silkies cannot be sexed that young......
