Someone explain to me how the wind can move a hoop coop off the ground enough to let a rooster out but keep the three hens in and move it over about 8 feet... But leave the piece of tin roofing on the broody coop held down only by two bricks....

:celebrate   and a HI back to you  !!!  I'm from down in Nash County.....

Ditto. Nash county native here myself! :) FYI biopsy came out okay. They're just going to do another in 6 months since they're still pre cancerous. I'm too young for all this. :( she said it would be a simple procedure if they do develop into cancerous cells but this is my second time around with it in 7 years. I'm 25 and no kids I hate to think what could happen but it's in the Lords hands

Where can I get food grade DE by the pound? I've seen it at seed and farm supply stores but they sell it in small containers for almost $13. So far the best deal I've seen is on Amazon. 10 lbs for $22 and 50 lbs for $60 (cost with shipping)

If you were nearer to me, I'd say get it at the place I get mine at. The feed store near me (in Burlington) sells 40# bags of food grade DE for (if I remember correctly) around $16.00. Best price I've seen so far.

Anyone know if $289 for 330 feet of 4 foot high goat fencing is a good price? It's a better price than Lowes, but I'm wondering if I should continue looking for a better price, or take that one?

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm glad the rain is over, just wish the temps were a bit higher, my Fibromyalgia doesn't like these cold temps.

The chicken gods wanted the coop in a new location and used the wind to move it. The rooster was silly enough to look under the edge and got left out of the move.

Yayyyy!!! I've only got internal pips but they are still right on time. :) I noticed a late quitter I couldn't see before. Guessing a couple of nights ago when the house got chilly it brought the incubator temp down just enough to make a chick throw in the towel.

LOL! It needed to be on fresh ground anyway so at least this way I didn't have to move it. ;)
Messed up my nesting box though! Guess it was kind of old and should be replaced anyway!!
