Good morning folks

The temperature averages are slowing getting higher and so
is the daily egg count......although we still have some hens
who seem to be on winter break still and liking that just a bit
too much. I have got to figure out where I am putting some
fruit trees too. I know where the horses want the apple trees.

Its easy to say I'm giving it to the Lord....and I know that to be the only way to handle this....but I;m 65 and have had numerous biopsies and a lumpectomy...all turned out good...And that is something I praise the Lord for!  Its just hard in between the scan and the pathology report....the not knowing!  But you know, I sent a son to Iraq 2 x and Afgan once and Haitai once way back when there was the invasion....i turned it all over to the Lord....if he died here or there....he belonged to God... sooooo why can't I just turn loose of all the worries and LET GOD?  I have to pray about this all the time!!!   LOL  Yes, I can imagine how you must be feeling, being so young.. You will be in my prayers!!  Are you still in Nash Cty?  I'm over outside of Red Oak.

It is tough. But I try to not let it get to me. It runs in the family and hopefully I will have kids not now but sometime in the future. :) I had a great aunt whom I never met because she died from cancer when she was 7. And I've had several others have it and the good Lord helped them through. That's what keeps me going and friends and family. I live over in bailey but hopefully will be moving soon back to middlesex if the rent papers go through. :)

@FVRM CSB is right, Carolina Town and Country in Sanford usually has large bags of DE.  I believe they are 40 or 50 lb bags.  I don't believe they are very expensive.  You probably want to call first to check price and if it is in stock - or you can go for the trip and fun of visiting the store.  They usually have chickens, lots of chicks in the spring, tropical birds, puppies, kittens, and other interesting stuff.  They also host a flock swap the first Saturday of each month.

Welcome to the new folks!
Congratulations to everyone with new chicks!  I love hatching time  :jumpy

SBrooks - congratulations on a clean bill of health.  Wishes for continued good news.

Thanks! :) hopefully all will be well next time I go! Doc said sometimes these cells just go away on their own. :)

There were lots of eggs pipping yesterday... Where are the babies? Pics of the peeps, please!!!

Iceman - Frizzles!! How exciting. I really want some of these someday.. Maybe next year..
