she's not laying on it anymore so I snagged it from her. This other strange egg was in another box. It's green so obviously I know my white EE laid it but its so much smaller than the other ones she's laid for me for the past 2 months. :(

she has dark green legs! Like almost a brown green color. I don't want to disturd her too much while she's sitting on her first egg. Lol. I'll get it out later I just want DH to see that she's going to be a good mama hen if we decide to just let her lay on it.

I'll see if I can find a pic of her I already have too.
A picture of her standing in good light would help but some ee's don't lay a colored (blue/green) egg, and ees can look like anything (no beard or muffs). She almost has a rose type comb with its wide base.

Fart/wind/fairy egg on the small one. Hard to tell color on the egg. You may find it's a light brown if it gets wet (the bloom often lightens the color ). I sure wish my two brown-egg laying would lay link.

*PINK* Lay pink, lol. Soooo much fun, EEs.

Lol it's definitely pink. I rinsed it off and it's as pink as pink could be. I put it next to one of my tan ones I got yesterday. And they are def not the same. Maybe it was a fluke. Ya think maybe she has some Wyandotte or something in her blood line she has the same markings as her sister and the only other chickens I've seen with this patterning in their feathers were EE s and wyandottes.

One of my brown-laying EEs has a small, floppy comb. My other with a larger comb lays green afaik. Old flock, my olive egg layers had no muffs or beards. This is why I adore EEs; also why it's not a breed. Love, love, love them!

SOOOO fun! You'll have to let us know how consistent the pink is. My Wyandottes lay regular brown. I think my BOs, though, lay the lightest brown out of my bunch.

Yey! I hope she continues to lay her pretty pink eggs! It's so heavy I can't wait to crack it and eat it! Lol some of my old hens I had laid heavy eggs like this but dark brown (they were black marans) and they were doubled yolks. Yum! Yum! Yum! Breakfast in the morning! Lol
