Finally got a second hen laying. Not sure who it is, but seems most likely that it's one of the orps. It's such a light brown it's almost pink. Hopefully the rest of the orps and the stars and brahma will fall in line and start laying soon too.

What edition is that copy, and when was it printed? It has a bit of age to it.
I bet the coop will be ready a lot sooner now that those 6 new chickens are in the house!Well......LOLOL.... CHICKEN MATH HAS STRUCK AGAIN!!! YEA,YOU SIT THERE AND LAUGH! I have some BCM/Silkies coming in the end of the week and know I don't have coop space.. someone is helping me fix that part. But with anything voluntary, its not getting done as quickly as I need. They have never had chickens! Well...here's the worst part...I went by TSC and yea,you know the rest of the story......came home with 6 Ameranana's.....they are are in the kids bedroom (they are all grown)..right by where my DH and I watch TV...He doesn't know yet!!!!"""" LOL...He's going to kill me!!"" Can't afford to buy a coop but don't know when my coop will be ready......

I agree with you on showing what you have bred yourself. The kiddos are staring to raise chicks for them to hopefully show in the fall this year. Hopefully it goes as planed, but we'll see.
