Here's my new mama hen with the two Brahma babies. I took this yesterday afternoon and this morning at 7am, she was sitting in the exact same spot in the chicken tractor...pretty sure she sat out there all night getting rained on instead of going back inside the roosting area. Crazy bird!

I went to the tsc and asked for it but the guy had no clue about any of that stuff, he literally said i probably knew more about it than he did. (he got that right) he led me to the poultry medicine section and they didn't have anything. I didn't think about looking in the cattle section because i figured i couldn't use it on chickens.

I went to a local farm store and the only thing they recommended was oxytetracycline. which I know is an antibacterial and coccidia is a protozoan.(the guy said he had been raising chickens for years and knew it could work for coccidiosis, even though i told him it's a protozoa not bacteria) oh well I'm desperate so i bought it and i hope it does something

but if the chicks pull through I won't be hatching anything else until i get my brooder properly set up and coccidia medications in order.

Most TSC have corrid in powder form. I have gotten liquid corrid from Southern States.
You can also use Sulmet comes in liquid.

.. o i got me a baby amercauna or easter egger or something other rooster !! im so excited ! he is a sweet boy so far ! im intersted to see what color he may be when he grows up .. right now hes cream with some buff mixed in there.. and little muffs and a little beard.. his name is Si.

I met the turtleman last November at his home in KY and he said he wanted me as help on his show and I've been emailing his agent its looking like my dream of working for animalplanet may be a possibility after all... I've worked at animal rehabs, aviaries, and have been rescuing animals my whole life I was catching rattlesnakes longer then I was tall at age 7 and had pet alligators and great blue herrins I rescued at age 9 my mother always told me I'd be on animal planet one day even the turtleman said he could see me with my own show hahaha how about that?

Good news, my faverolles are pooping normal again. I think they achieved immunity. But my caunas are ruffled and I already lost 3. Hopefully they overcome it. I'll know by tonight or tomorrow.
