North Carolina

I was reading online about the one in Fayetteville & still couldn't find anything about price or joining, but it says you need approved paperwork and inspections to sell eggs?

I know it has to have your home address & ungraded printed on it, but I didn't think you had to get approved from the state to sell your extra eggs?
Maybe just the farmer's market dictates that?
I don't know, seems pretty intense....

Go to the Agricultural Extension Office of your country's site....our farmer's market is handled by ours in Nash County. They can at least tell you what the regs are...If the weather is right for my wheelchair, I'll go down to ours tomorrow and I'll be sure to ask.

Dutch, its free to setup at the farmers market. But you have to be approved by the staff. You fill out and application. The only law in nc is the egg law. If you sell more than 30 DOZEN eggs a WEEK. You have to get them graded and all that. But if you sell less than 30 all you have to do is properly label them. Google egg law in nc for more info

Hey folks I am not on her much was wondering if anybody here has Welsumers or know someone that does ..Any help is welcome

If there is a produce/honey/ect stand already at the Fayetteville farmers market. I would be willing to give my eggs to them cheaper to sell. That way I unload them all to one person
Go to : http://growingsmallfarms.ces.ncsu.edu/growingsmallfarms-meatandeggs/

and you will find the details on the egg laws

Address is Stanley, house is in Lincoln county

I'm moving from Indiana to North Carolina and am not sure about zoning & ordinances there. Maybe you all can help me. When checking for zoning info about having chickens, would I look for the city or county I'm in?
