There were emus?!?! I don't know how I missed that. Haha probably better that I didn't see them as I'm crazy enough to do something like that!

My eggs aren't looking too good on Day 5 candling

They were packaged really well, but USPS did a number on them. One box an entire corner was crushed in and another had a huge gash in the side of it. None of the eggs were broken and I let them rest for 24 hours before going in, but the majority of them look scrambled. I haven't pulled any out yet, holding on to hope, but I think most are a lost cause I'm so disappointed.

i think this was last year. it was linked to mt.healthy chicks not all backyard flocks. And salmonella is everywhere thats why you should always wash your hands after handling any animal.

It's a new outbreak, again linked to Mt Healthy stock. I was just reading the CDC report.

I wouldn't be supprised if it a government backed control tactic to get rid of backyard flocks just like the GMO cross polenation scam where they plant GMO corn next to your corn and when it cross polenates they sue for everything you own for haveing they're product or maybe I'm a crazy who knows lol

Most of my chicks hatching this time are under developed hatching early and dieing I've done nothing different than I did the past three back to back hatches

Oh jeez... I have 3 ducklings from Mt Healthy (what an ironic name.....) hopefully they are okay!!! Argh this is the first (and only) time I've bought from Mt Healthy via TSC and I am regretting it big time

just make sure you wash your hands every time you touch them and disinfect all their things every now and then

Not chicken related, but I am probably in trouble when it comes to my son who is in elementary school. A few classes were doing a spanish program and during a free dance of the merengue, a young lady (classmate) grabbed him and pulled him on stage to dance with her. After their class presented the cumbia dance, in which he danced with two different young ladies, the first young lady came back to hold hands with him before they took their bow. So not looking forward to junior high or high school.
