Never had an egg bound but yeah Ive read that this is what you do. A lot of people use epsom salt with the bath.

Thank you guys! I have been giving her a warm bath and managed to figure out that it is actually a bound egg. I can feel it and the poor things vent is swollen.I let her soak this morning and again for about 30 minutes a little while ago. She keeps trying to push... but it still eating and drinking. I also managed to get some liquid calcium into her, because I heard that can help (that wasn't too long ago.. I really hope it helps!)
And can any go you guys think of what color this chick is?
He hatched from my blue roo and one of my buff hens. The coloring isn't right for a buff, and is most definitely not blue![]()
Any ideas?
Does anyone know where i can get bales of hay around fayetteville/parkton? I need it for composting not animal food. Is there a season for it?
Okay that makes sense! I haven't seen any posts for hay but I'll post a wanted ad thenHay is baled all summer long, starting around May. But if you are just using it for composting, someone probably has last year's hay sitting around and should either give it to you, or sell it really cheap. Check craigslist.
With the lack of rain in some areas many farm have not cut hay yetHay is baled all summer long, starting around May. But if you are just using it for composting, someone probably has last year's hay sitting around and should either give it to you, or sell it really cheap. Check craigslist.
