First visit to Aloha Zoo animal rescue today.
Pretty much a big petting zoo with lots of farm animals, plus some exotic animals they rescued.
This was the coolest thing ever, snuggling a baby tiger!!!

Oh my he looks just like red. My 20 week roo I lost Saturday. My fault I had open the slide door to the back lot so they could play with the vines and grass back there. The only part of the run not covered. Found a hawk making breakfast of him. Shut the back part off. I guess I underestimated the hawk

Hawks are the worst!
We used to have attacks all the time, but once we got a turkey it stopped. Not sure if it's coincidence, but she's like our watchdog.
This was a Black Freedom Ranger so he was for meat, though I would have loved to keep him.
He was about 10 weeks old in the picture, we grow them out to 12 weeks.

So a friend bought ivermectin just like this one and we were wondering how much to reduce it for our chickens

I don't know how accurate this is, but last year I was told a "pea size" amount for each full grown standard size bird in a little piece of bread when I dewormed.

I've been using ACV in the water of my current chickens since hatching and haven't had to deworm them yet, but they're all under a year old.

It's a dreary morning so far and I'm hoping we get
some rain with it or I'll have to do a hose job on some
plants. DH says we have a weather witch in our neighborhood
and she don't like to get wet.

Yeah, it always seems to split around us and my area gets nothing. But got some hopes for today.

Ps: on the ivermectin , it is 5mg per cc. So the bird only gets about 2mg. Thats liquid drops on the skin not internally.
