Good morning folks

What a nice weekend we had weatherwise. I hope we get more
like that one.

Chook.......try doubleatraining from here for some colored egg
layers. She had some nice ones last year and is the triad area.
BHep also sells colored egg hatching eggs so try her too. BHep
will also hatch the eggs for you for a very small fee. Hollowoak
has Welsummers and in the southern triad area. Good luck
with your egg hunt.

Guess what? Went to TSC yesterday, and discovered that they are getting in ORGANIC feed! They are starting with chick start, and expect to get others as well. Quite a bit more than regular feed, but at least it's available!

Put another nine dozen eggs in the incubator yesterday. Eggs start hatching next weekend! Can't wait! So far I've put 18 dozen eggs in! Crazy! Guess I need to clean out my Juvenile Detention Center!

very cool to be at the CFPA show on saturday and see all the different breeds! came home with a pair of @ramirezframing Lakenvelders (sorry the photos aren't great). Named them Dutch and Tulip
They have settled into our quarantine area very nicely. We're all getting to know each other! We're thinking of entering them into the April 11 show in Greensboro? Just SO EXCITED to have them

All day yesterday and today, chicks have been hatching. I got a few favacaunas, wheaten ameraucaunas, and some welsummers. They're all noisy and running around. So I'll be handing to the farm store today to pick up some chick feed. All the blue eggs were in the fridge for a few days, so yeah they definitely hatch.

Towards the end of the show my son decided to change my Monday plans. He broke 3 of his front teeth, all permanent teeth to boot. After a visit to the dentist this morning, he will be getting them fixed this afternoon. Now to see if any of my 3 hooligans listen any better to me.......probably not!

You say that like it's a bad thing.... but I will admit that they are all my eggs! I think I'll be selling more than I anticipated.

Had a new litter of Californian babies born yesterday. First time mom did great, and had seven in the box after building a good nest. I'll keep her.


And the mixed litter is turning out gorgeous!!

Not a bad thing Hollow and yes Bhep, most are probably my eggs

. He didn't listen and was playing on the metal bleachers at the show. Luckily it wasn't a bloody mess, so no one freaked out or passed out. I must admit though, his teacher told him to shut his mouth this morning as she covered hers and turned away. The joys of having kids.
