Thanks for the kind words on my naughty blue hen. I think she is a blue andy cross for sure. She and her sibs were sold to me as blue australorps, but that comb....not too many places a blue chicken can get a fan like that! She does not have white ears and she lays australorp colored eggs, so I assume she's a blue andy x australorp of some percentage or another. Matters not, her job is to just be a chicken and she cracks me up with her bratty ways.

Sitting here on the back patio. My speckled sussex just snatched a spider out from under my grill! (Way to go, Dottie!) there's a big red tail hawk sitting on the power line pole across the way... I've got my eye on him and so does my light sussex Cecelia (that girls got a 6th sense when it comes to danger)
Got 4 eggs today. One from each of the girls!

I love my flock! Hopefully gonna add 2 more black Australorp in June and our family will be complete.

Builder is gone....FINALLY...except for a punch list. Now I am finishing the house and need to landscape it plus move the chickens and greenhouses.
