Hi there! Excited new Chicken "momma" in Greenville NC.

In fact I just went and bought my girls yesterday at Yoder's. We are having such fun with this even if I'm still a little worried about how my neighbors will feel. lol For the record we are not the first Chicken owners in our neighborhood. ;)

I'm finally able to really get back into them.
I will have blue langshans form a sq line and I have grey Japanese bantams and ee/oe small flock
I also will be getting blk jgs , red laced wyandottes and silver laced , buff brahmas and Marans but these are more for eggs not roosters
Next year I will have barred langshans that are breeding true but I will be starting them as chicks.
Oh I also have call ducks mixed pen or pastels, blue fawn and magpies blk/wht over a chocolate magpie duck. ( he does not let the other drakes breed her. )
I have pearl Guineas and two wishard bronze turkey hens.
I am in Henderson , NC by Kerr lake

Welcome everyone to BYC! Watchout, this site is addicting :/ haha

I've been having such good luck from this forum for finding beauties for our backyard flock, I'm so excited :D I LOVE MY CHICKENS!!!

Now to feed my addiction... I'm looking for something gold laced!!! I didn't think I liked the look but after seeing one up close and how the gold coloring has light and dark hues I now have to have one!!! :) I'd love a gold laced Cochin but I'm up for any breed that lays a decent size egg so no bantams please :) let me know who's around within an hour and a half drive for a gold laced breed!!!! Thanks everyone. Love supporting my fellow NCers :D

I will have golden campines and golem laced wyandottes laying this summer.

I'm in Vale (Catawba County).  I have Marans (Black Copper and Black-Tailed Buff), Crested Cream Legbars, Blue Double-Laced Barnevelders, Orpingtons, Australorps and a pair of Black Penedesencas.  I also have 3 nice Silkie roosters I'd like to get rid of (one black, one white, and one kind of silvery-blue-maybe a splash).  I got silkie eggs last year instead of the breed I wanted :he  so I'd like to find these a new home.

What kind of silkies are they any pictures? And how much are you wanting for them.
