hey all. I have a customer that is looking for some heritage breeds. I have a flock of Buff Orpingtons but am looking for some Barred Rock and possibly others. Im looking for the eggs so i can hatch out for them. I prefer not to ship them so hopefully someone will be near me. Im located in Hurdle Mills NC just north of Durham.

According to their website, the Pittsboro Feed Store got some barred rock chicks on 10/13. Not sure where to find eggs though....

Hey y’all! I was wondering if anyone has any baby chicks for sale. I had a mamma abandon her clutch and only one egg survived. She is due to hatch this week and I am looking for a friend for her. I am located in Boone.

The chick sadly died, but I ended up getting 3 silkie chicks anyway lol. Ya! That would be cool! I’m not going to be free anytime soon, but that would be awesome!

Ohhhh...so sorry to hear Was this that hens first time sitting a clutch? Why do you think she abandoned them? How far along were they?

I’m raising a heritage breed, Auburn Javas. Just hatched my first last April and the pullets just started laying this week.
I also got 3 Silkie chicks in May. Plan on using them as broody mommas this spring or May bring inside in December or January to set for earlier spring hatch.
