here in Lee County getting ready.. my peas are going in dog crates in my mud room.. we are in Central NC.. how are you guys getting ready, we are from NJ and lived thru super Storm Sandy, so we are prepared and taking it VERY serious..
oh we got LOTS of rain with SAndy, and is been raining here since yesterday from another system, so Florence is going to BRING A LOT of rain, they are saying.. we did all the put away stuff yesterday, went for water and supplies, finishing taking down the gazebo today and putting the small things away..Getting all of the deck furniture, etc. out of the yard. Plywood on the picture window. Bath tubs full of water for flushing. Making sure we have batteries and first aid kit, etc. in the emergency kit.
We've been pretty lucky here--Matthew didn't bring much but some rain where I am. This is going to be a whole different experience, I'm thinking.
Hey y’all- what’s everybody doing with their birds during this awful storm we’re getting hit with? I’m worried. We aren’t staying at home bc we stay in a mobile home- so we’re going to my grandmothers across the field. We have a tobacco barn that has withstood the hands of time- and many storms- so I have an area fixed up in there. I’m going to put the ducks in three & hope for the best.
Serious Question—
3 Pekins 1 Runner
If something happened & they were to get lose- do they have the nautral instincts to survive? I know they would stay together- & it’s not water I’m concerned with- it’s the wind... would they go bunker down somewhere? I’d like to know just in case....
Everyone is in my prayers— we will get through this somehow y’all. <3

This is the barn & setup. Minus the chicken wire I’m going to put up to keep them confined to that corner.
