Lack of laying because of shorter daylight hours, correct? Just curious in what you feed and how much in price increase?Oh totally and I've seen rising feed costs cited or lack of laying, which that one kinda boggles me during this time of year.

Yep, I think some people don't research (or don't care) and just want 24/7/365 eggs...which is fine, but don't blame the birds lol I feed an organic non-soy mix from a local mill, it's gone up by about $5 since the start of the year. What local mill?
I expect I could save by using a local mill instead of Southern States.
(I use 18-20% all-flock).
Reedy Fork Farm, they have pick-ups all over the state and will deliver if you order over a certain amount. Their website is a little wonky though, it doesn't show all that they have but if you use the search bar things like all flock will pop up.
I've also heard good things about G&M Milling and while Magnolia Ranch does not mill, they have better prices than TSC and will deliver for a fee.
Thank you for the info. Do you buy your sunflower seeds in bulk and if so where? I have been looking for some in bulk if available without paying and arm and a leg! Oh ok super and thank you for the info.Right now I grab them from TSC (womp womp) I'm on the lookout for better pricing, but haven't found anything that's close to me.
I would have thought BOSS seeds would be reasonable in price, maybe not?
Hey hope everyone's having a good holiday season!
