Lack of laying because of shorter daylight hours, correct? Just curious in what you feed and how much in price increase?
Yep, I think some people don't research (or don't care) and just want 24/7/365 eggs...which is fine, but don't blame the birds lol I feed an organic non-soy mix from a local mill, it's gone up by about $5 since the start of the year. At the TSC by me cracked corn & scratch have also gone up by about the same, but sunflower seeds have not 🤷‍♀️

What local mill?

I expect I could save by using a local mill instead of Southern States.

(I use 18-20% all-flock).

Reedy Fork Farm, they have pick-ups all over the state and will deliver if you order over a certain amount. Their website is a little wonky though, it doesn't show all that they have but if you use the search bar things like all flock will pop up.

I've also heard good things about G&M Milling and while Magnolia Ranch does not mill, they have better prices than TSC and will deliver for a fee.

Thank you for the info. Do you buy your sunflower seeds in bulk and if so where? I have been looking for some in bulk if available without paying and arm and a leg! LOL :)

Hey hope everyone's having a good holiday season!

Thank you. It was lovely for me. I had 8 people at my house on Thanksgiving then my sister had 16 at her place on Friday.

I saw my mother, my sister, 2 of DH's SIL's (and his new BIL), all our kids, and the grandkids.

With enough food to feed everyone twice more if we'd needed to.
