North Carolina

We have two young roosters free to a good home. We hatched these boys in August 2021 and they're in great health, but now that they're all grown up they need their own flock (Dad doesn't want to share).

One is an Australorp/Barred Rock mix, and the other is an Australorp/Rhode Island Red mix. Both are good with people, can be handled, etc.

Raleigh, NC

I have the same request. Did anyone answer you? I'd like blue layers and or a silkie.

Unfortunately not :( I've found better luck on FB groups. There are NC groups for chicken keepers that people post on everyday. Also my local feed store will have some whiting true blue pullets next weekend i'm going to pick up!

Thats cool. I had never heard of that breed. Do you think they would do well with polish? I have 5 of those coming in the 4th. Where is this store?

I have fertile eggs from Easter Egger hens and a game fowl rooster. Not sure what color eggs the pullets would lay (the hens lay green and blue), I'm using the offspring as meat chickens rather than layers, but if you want to play chicken roulette I can set you aside some eggs :p.

Thats a cool offer! I appreciate it! I have 5 polish coming in from cackle and I am trying to protect them from aggressive breeds. Don't know much about game breeds but they sound like they would pick on the polish.

The rooster is a really chill guy (that's how he escaped getting sent to freezer camp last year!) but the EEs tend toward the dramatic side for sure. My Wyandotte keeps them in line pretty easily but I could see them being a bit bossy to calmer breeds. The chicks I have from them right now are about 5 weeks old and seem to lean a bit more towards the EE side of personalities.

Alright, the time has come for these guys to find new digs. I have three Pilgrim ganders that ended up being a rescue case and after a lot of healing and love, you couldn't tell what they've been through. They still have some filling out to do, but they're pretty much at full size.

4 months old, they've been raised around chickens & ducks. Since they're still technically babies, there's none of that spring gander temperament going on. They are exceptionally friendly and very chatty.

They all do not have to go together and they can be separated as long as there are geese at their new home to keep them company. Two of the three have more grey than what I believe the US considers standard, I think it's beautiful, but I get it. One is solid white and he is the biggest of the three. I'm in Central NC, but am willing to travel to make sure they go to a great home <3
