I'm not too close to Kannapolis, being in Carthage, but I have a few started pullets now and will have some more in a few weeks (they're still babies right now).

I found my first chickens on Craigslist, they seem to pop up pretty frequently in this area. I've also gotten some Easter Egger pullets from Margaret's Roost just across the border in SC https://www.facebook.com/MargaretsRoost

Howdy! We are in King, NC, just up the road. We got our girls from a dad/daughter team in Winston. You can find them on Craigslist. They sell pullets from March-August and have a great selection of very healthy breeds. They start with chicks and then offer them up for sale at 7-8 weeks.

I've been ill for weeks and have had a hard time keeping up. Does anyone know when the last reported case of Avian Flu was here in NC?

I know the virus is supposed to degrade rapidly in hot weather.

Last reported case was on April 12. It was in reporter in commercial broilers in Wayne county. I haven’t seen any more reports of any wild birds since then either.

Thanks. I'm wanting to let my birds out of cover because I'm doing integration and, as huge as my coop is, they need their run.

So maybe once the temps start seeing the 90's.
