North Carolina

I can't wait to join the Easter hatch this year. My husband said I seem more excited about the chickens than the actual house 🤣
I made sure I was able to have chickens when I house hunted. I wish I had more land. Future plan is to move to a place with more land, and have lots of chickens!
I'll definitely give them a try! I'm glad we'll be closer to a Costco again. It's an hour to Wilmington both worth it!
I'm in wilmington.

Y'all I'm almost back 🥳
We close on a house 1/29
With 1.3 acres
Whiteville, NC ❤️🥰
I've missed having chickens so much!
It's been a loooonnnnggg 2.5yrs renting in city.
I am very happy for you. I'm about 2 1/2 hours away, up near "Little" Washington.

Hey peeps, what is going on in your neck of NC? Up here in the Mountains, we got a good covering of ice, then this afternoon it has turned to rain with a high of 37. Supposed to be snow moving in this evening with temps around 15. How's everyones flock doing?

I’m in Waynesville, my 40 are snuggled down and ready, we just lost power but the generator takes care of vital things- like my 2 Sweeter Heaters in the coop! (Yes, dear, they ARE essential- I don’t want my rooster to get frostbite on his comb!). I zip tied cardboard onto the open side of my run to block wind, it looks like a shanty town but is working really well! I will be on twice daily warm water delivery starting in the morning, my coop is a big nice dry 15x15’ shed with a small critter proof run (8’x15’). Good luck everyone!

Burnsville over here. We havent lost power but we do have a generator so if we do we will be okay we didn't have power for a month when Helene paid us a visit. I have sweeter heaters too.
You did a good job on protecting your birds.
