ROOSTER BOB

Hello from North Carolina, Wake County. I know there are a bunch of us in this area with the chichen bug. This was suggested to me by a fellow BYC person in regards to this post I placed.

As you can see I saw this chicken, pictures in the listed post, along side the road and one night was able to catch it. I thought it was a hen but he started to crow and I am not allowed to have roosters. Plus I have a mix of 1 pound chickens on up and he picked the little ones to practice with.

Anyway I had to take him back to the land where I found him and have him set up the best I can. I will provide food and keep a watch on him...but he looks so lonely. I was worried to post him on Craigs list for fear he would go to freezer camp and I would rather him roam his land. So it was suggested to me to post this and see if there are any BYC that would like this hansom guy to protect their flock. I am pretty sure I could catch him again because I know about where he roosts..I have been stalking him I guess. He is going to be a good guy very tall and proud. He just started crowing so he must be about 5 to 6 months. Thanks for your consideration.
If my link does not work go to Breed/Gender and look for post: Help with rescue chicken..breed and gender please.

He sure is a pretty boy! (And I'm surprised people were telling you he was a she, with all those shiny saddle feathers he has.) Anyway, I'm in Johnston county, maybe I can find someone to take him. Sure would hate for him to become predator food! I'll let you know...

That would be great. He is healthy. I have wormed him and had a vet friend check him out clear eyes and nares. Just started crowing or he was yelling at me. Not sure. LOL I just want him to get a home he looks so lonely...kills me. I gave him a flock block in the food station this morning I made for him which should keep his food dry. Thanks for your help.
