Good morning everyone, sleeping in this morning BC? It's 11 this morning but the sun will be here about 11:30 am and gone around 1:30p.m.[we live on the north side of the mountain don't get much sun ] anyway aayps I'll have chicks in the spring I have cochin bantams and a mix of bantams/bantams., and a little game thrown in. And I have 3 full Brahmas hens as well. My bantams are the best broodies and I also have muscovies ducks that I only will breed if someone wants ducklings. Muscovies are wonderful broodies as well they hatch anything just to sit. We didn't get stuck here last year even though we did have alot of snow and it staid forever, but one year we lost power for 6 days and had so many trees down we had to cut our way out. So now we have a generator and I try to have plenty of food stored back. Well ya'll have a good' un and keep those little piggies warm oh yes we did enjoy our second part of the day in Asheville BC, first part not so much my dh had an appt. at the Va for endescopy[sp] but he's fine and over the drugs they gave him. So all is well, sorry your dh's health is not good. Are ya' retire'es? we are and loving every minute of it. Thanks for the compliment on the c/d house, but I would love to have a few more, plus you have a barn that is something I'd really like to have.

I just call the place my chickens live a "barn", I guess it really isn't....I'm hoping to talk my husband into letting us build a new 10 x 20 one next year....then I'd never have any worries about the Silkies getting cold. Heck...we might even be able to be gone overnight

See you'll in the morning

Anyone in Polk County, N.C. ?

My Ancestors are from there (Father's side) since back about Daniel Boone's time.

I know that Bat Cave Silkies isn't very far from there. (An Uncle of mine had a cabin on Lake Lure.)

BEST REGARDS, Tarheels !!!
