Well Merry Christmas eve to all! It's 530 and there is only one thing stirring, or crowing! Conan has been at it for at least 20 mins now! He has 98% of it now. Soon the morning song will be complete, with full tone and diction.
Got almost all my worm farming supplies, funny how I had most of it already! Ching *)~ I did go by a petsmart, they are nice and only sell 35 ct mealworm tubs. Only having six chickens here now, even 35 is one treat for the coop! They like them way more than that for sure!

got my computer back from the hospital (Staples) and it's cured!!! My gosh how I missed it, especially first thing in the morning....breakfast for me is a cup of coffee and a few games of solitaire (to wake up my old brain)

Aren't little roo's hilarious when they're first learning to crow. They're just as much fun to watch....interesting to see what kind of body english they're putting into it

Balmy 18 degrees here this AM....guess I'll be cooking oatmeal in a few minutes. Soooo glad everyone has water that can't freeze now

Set my first eggs in my homemade bator yesterday....20 days and counting

Caught a huge male oppossum in the trap wednesday night....needless to say he's in oppossum heaven now. So glad we keep that trap set and baited ALL the time. I really don't think it could get in any of the houses or barn, but I'm not taking any chances.

Guess everyone will be cooking today for tomorrow's feast. Merry Christmas Eve to all my wonderful chicken neighbors

Hooray BC got back her computer.

Yep cold again and snow headed our way, wonderful white Christmas.! I'll be happy just to get all of the frozen poo covered with some fresh snow. Pretty disgusting right now. Hope everyones babies are doing well and that we don't all over eat haha! How are your newest additions doing BC? What have you got in the bator? eggciting!! Talk to ya'll later on have a great Christmas Eve.

I've been off of this thread for awhile. Sorry.

And you're right, at the time it wasn't quite 26. More like 28

We have a little microclimate here. It's always like 7-12 degrees colder than is forecasted. Sometimes more. I might have to put up a flyer like you mentioned. Any advertised swaps are so far away. And folks around here just don't have what I am looking for. Oh well. Thanks for the advice and stay warm!
