Hum.. Sounds like this "white" stuff has a place in everyones cabinet! Sure is to bad my neighborhood has laws against it. I would be all for it, medicinally! Also sounds like another great job sold to china! Lol
Morning everyone! Hope all are feeling and doing well. If not feeling so great please take this as a reason to start!
Had a weird day yesterday! Got a call that no one had heard from a friend. Of corse they " my mom and friends" wanted me to go check! Well good thing she answered her phone before I got there. Funny thing! Sick folks don't jump out of bed at 8:00! Gotto love them ladies! The woman in question wrote me an awesome note, referring to herself as a Popcicle, had I found her frozen to her patio! I love her humor! She is 70 and full of joy everytime I get the honor of her company!
So today we will again attempt to put in fence post!!!! Hopefully it wil be done before I turn into a popsicle!

The new cabinet bator arrived today, the new cabinet bator arrived today

It is running as I type, just added water and trying to get a feel for where water level needs to be. So excited, I will be setting tomorrow!

Hey folks, I'm going to be looking to buy some chicks and/or pullets come spring. I had to give away my flocks this past fall after I was rediagnosed with Breast Cancer. I'd prefer to buy from some good BYC folks if ya'll have what I am looking for. I want to be getting new birds somewhere between Mid-March to early April.

What I'm looking for:

EE Bantams--looking for about 4 including a little roo

Silver Seabrights---4 including roo

Gold Seabrights---4 including roo.


Easter Eggers---12 a mix of light, medium and darker colored ones, also a roo

Black or Red Sexies-- 6

I'm just outside the town of Stanley and willing to drive maybe 2 hours in any direction to pick them up. Please contact me off list and we can do business.

Good morning all, nope no sleepy head here, just takes these bones some time to get going. By the time I feed everyone outside then feed everyone inside have a few cups of tea it's 9:30 or so, days seem to fly by. It'll be spring before we know it. ....

Congrats on the new bator Hen Tymes! Can't wait to see new chicks. Hey BC you promised pics of your new ones

Also CoyoteM wish I could help you but mine are all mutts just about, and the ones that aren't aren't the breeds your looking for: also I just went through the same thing as you this past summer, will be thinking of you. BHep my bator is turned off also, but it's natural, I have to go out at least once everyday and turn off a couple of my hens who are wanting to sit in this weather? crazy girls

Here they are!! My latest hatch, I only had 6 eggs go into lockdown 3 lav orp (testing fertility after molt) and 3 bantam orp. Two bantams were quitters and one lav orp. I am very happy to have my little hatch, to my surprise my little bantam orp I was expecting to be black is blue!!
