Hi all....

I really wish Spring would get here, I am ready. It is sunny but cold and windy.

Good news... the eggs I set on Sat. are doing great. I got 8 shipped sizzle eggs. 7/8 are developing.

I also set 5 comet x silkie eggs, only 1 developing and 3 Serama eggs, all duds. The comet/silkies eggs are just for curiousity. We always eat them and my kids wanted to hatch one to see what it would look like. So 1 is good, it will proberly be a rooster anyway, with my luck. *sigh* The Serama eggs are from young hen , she just started laying about a month ago, so they were tests. I really don't need to be hatching out anymore Seramas. I just hatch out roosters. Just hatched 9 on 11-24, 7 are roosters, I'm sure the other 2 will turn out to be roosters also, they are white and every single white chick turns out to be a giant rooster.

I have 4 more hatched New Years and 2 are white.

As soon has it starts warming up, I will order some eggs and start fresh. Plus I have waaaay too many birds in the house right now.

Ooo well.......Have a great and warrm day.

I have 7 eggs setting on the counter right now looking to go into someones bator. I am currently not hatching any of them expect for my solid blacks who the pullets just started laying yesterday!

My focus right now is on my orpingtons, both LF and bantams. Serama's have taken a bit of a back seat and the others are currently growing out.

I am ordering some of the BYC business cards for advertising and some Bumper Stickers. The business cards are free to take, but I will need $0.25 for each BYC bumper sticker. I plan to setup a change can and hope folks will work on the honor system as far as the Bumper Stickers go.

I want to can get all the BYC folks there together at 11am to get a group photo with the BYC banner.
